I’m a PhD student at the University of Victoria in Education Studies. My background began in International Studies, which led me to Monitoring & Evaluation of international development programs and eventually to government roles in strategy, program design, research and evaluation. Over time, my work became increasingly focused on capacity building and in striving to more effectively deliver my instructions and reach a wider audience, as well, I began exploring pedagogy and e-learning.
I look forward to developing my research in an area that carries personal and professional significance; young people face a lot of challenges at a time when everything seems to be changing – technology, education, labour dynamics. It is my hope that evaluation knowledge can be learned and applied in way that empowers in contribution to important decision making, navigating change and ultimately achieving goals – especially those that may have previously seemed out of reach.
